Extra Markers & Colored Pencils Storage

What do you do with extra good markers and colored pencils? Hang them in groups on a shoe holder! Sorting markers by colors that are not dried out and extra colored pencils is a handy classroom resource.

I like to keep sets handy for specific projects where only one or two colors are needed or replace one missing or dried out. I keep markers at the top and colored pencils at the bottom. Each group is in a quart-size plastic bag, so I can easily walk around the room while restocking student sets.

An over-the-door coat/towel hook is an easy way to hang teacher and aide aprons. They’re out of the way of students and readily available when needed.
